Tenerife is two very
different islands one, north and south
divided by Mount Teide. Some of the
many areas to visit include:
- Mount
Teide set in a stunning “moon scape” and a cable car to the top.
Drive yourself or take a coach trip.
- La
Laguna, originally the capital city, with it’s morning market.
- Garachico
where you can see the lava that flowed down the hillside towards the sea.
- Icod
de los Vinos, home to of the famous 3,000 year old dragon tree.
- Puerto
de la Cruz was the first holiday resort on the island and is well worth a
visit.
- The
lost village of Masca with it’s spectacular rugged gorge. You can be taken
by coach for an arranged walking trip and guided down the valley to the cove
and collected by boat back to Los Gigantes, not a walk for the faint
hearted!
- Las
Americas is a busy town with it’s 'Aqualand' water park which appeals to the younger
generation and adventurous adults. A new theme park opened in 2010 is Siam
Park.
- The
well known Loro Parque has a variety of animals which include Dolphin and
sea lion shows and the ever popular Parrot show.
- Other
attractions include Jungle Park, Medieval Adventure,
Cabaret/Variety Shows
